Dubois Wyoming .com may be FOR SALE, Click here to make an offer!!!

Dubois is located in Wyoming’s upper Wind River Valley, about an hour’s drive from Jackson and just west of the Wind River Indian Reservation along U.S. Highway 26. Originally a fur trapper town, Dubois is quickly becoming a hot spot for second homes and an active adult retirement community for baby boomers. The town is set near the entrance to Yellowstone National Park amid gorgeous natural scenery, near the magnificent trout-filled Wind River. Other nearby towns include Riverton, Hudson, Thermopolis, Shoshone and Lander. Dubois has residential and commercial properties for sale, with vacation homes, farm and ranch properties also available. For spectacular Western scenery and easy access to some of the greatest recreational areas in the world, Dubois is a great place to invest in real estate. If you’re considering investing in a ranch, but have never run one before, or if you don’t plan to be in the area part of the year, there are many ranch management companies in the Dubois area to help make sure things run smoothly in your absence. Real estate in the Dubois area is very affordable compared to other places in the country, including the Jackson Hole area, which is just 70 miles to the southwest.

The Grand Tetons form the western border of the 60-mile valley or “hole,” known as Jackson Hole, with the Gros Ventre Mountains and the Continental Divide on the eastern side. North of the town of Jackson lies the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, the Gros Ventre Mountains, the National Elk Refuge, and Togwotee Pass. Due to its prime location and seclusion from town, real estate north of Jackson primarily includes highly priced condominiums and luxury homes. South of the town of Jackson you will find several relatively new housing developments. The following is a brief recap of some of the other areas of the Jackson Hole region:

Hoback Junction, located nearly 15 miles south of Jackson at the confluence of the Snake and Hoback Rivers, is a gateway town to Jackson, Alpine, and Bonderant.

The West Bank is what locals call the towns on the west side of the Snake River. West Bank North includes the Teton Pines, the Aspens, and Teton Village along Highway 390, also known as the Village Road or Moose Wilson Road. West Bank South refers to the area on the west side of the Snake River, south of Highway 390 or the Village Road. West Bank South includes the town of Wilson, Wyoming and its housing developments along Fish Creek Road and Fall Creek Road.
